Kids' birthday party venue in London

London

Children's baking and cupcake-decorating parties from a Staples Corner cake studio, at the academy, your venue or your home - with the clean-up done for you

About The London Cake Academy

The London Cake Academy runs children's baking, cooking and cupcake-decorating parties from its bright warehouse studio at Staples Corner - five minutes from Brent Cross West station - or brings the party to your venue or home (the activity flexes to the cooker available). Baking parties make cupcakes or vanilla cookies, decorating parties work on pre-baked cakes so it suits younger children from six, and everything gets boxed up to take home, with a baking certificate for every child and complimentary clean-up throughout - the academy's signature touch. Parties are recommended for ages eight to sixteen (younger children join with an adult each), covering up to twelve children, and a matching themed birthday cake can be ordered alongside. Reviews are a perfect 5.0 from a small base. Two things to know: pricing is quoted on enquiry through the website's contact form - no phone or email is published - and the listing currently has no photos

Had the most amazing day learning to ice with Samantha, who taught us as complete amateurs to make some beautiful cupcakes! She even stayed late for us so we could get all the practice needed. A fantastic time, lots of fun, and we’re very proud of our new skills. Thank you!

🧁💐❤️Cake decorating and sugar flower courses with The London Cake Academy and Samantha Brown❤️💐🧁 For me it has always been about cake, beautiful and tasty cakes, particularly beautiful cakes with stunning flowers. Truthfully, cakes and most sweet treats are a weakness. Learning to makes these sweet delights is the challenge! I’ve had the great privilege to take courses in these past three weeks, in cake decorating, buttercream, cookie decorating and sugar flowers with resident cake artist, Samantha Brown. Classes with Sam are easy-going, accessible, challenging and fun! Instruction is easy and the results are very gratifying. Sam generously shares her process, tips, tricks, creativity and experience. As with most things, to become better, i am reminded I have to practice and practice some more! In these past weeks I’ve gained confidence in new skills, discovered my artist, and feel more motivated creatively to make and create more cakes, starting with family and friends. Sugar flowers are simply stunning, a real showstopper! And I find that after this course, I am looking more closely at real flowers, and imagining how these would look on a cake! I will be trying my hand at making more flowers! These cake classes with Samantha Brown are 5 stars!! Highly recommend!

I had a Buttercream class today. 1-2-1 thanks to COVID-19! What a great class it was too. I had such fun. The tutor Samantha was really easy to work with. She made me feel at ease from "the get go". This is always a good base for a relaxed class where you can ask questions, get honest, direct feedback without feeling you've done something wrong. Samantha was so easy to work with. She was patient, didn't mind going over things several times, and even when I kept making mistakes her demeanour never changed. She just encouraged me to try again! Which was really helpful because if something goes wrong you have a tendency to give up. I would really recommend this class. The Academy is on a busy main road but there is a bus service that runs along that road. There is also parking outside but this is limited. There is a lovely open space with seating outside the Academy....good place to sit for lunch on a sunny day. There is also wheelchair access.

I really enjoyed the floral cake class with Samantha. She made sure to teach me as many techniques and tips as possible and she was very patient and kept encouraging me until i finally succeeded in making some very nice flowers! Samantha is very practical, friendly and passionate about her work. She has the interest of the participant at heart and always wants to make sure they are having fun while getting value for their money. I highly recommended The London Cake Academy for anyone interested in learning baking tips and new techniques. I will definitely book other classes with Samantha.
