I really like this place but what really lets you down is that you always prioritize children's swimming lessons. Every day it seems! After work hours, am limited to a cramped lane (If I am allowed in at all) with several people squeezed into it. Why are the lessons such a priority? Members should have the pool available, particularly in out of work hours! The children's lessons always take priority. even if there are no lessons, why are we limited to a couple of lanes? Its a busy pool, so always seems stressful!

I’ve been a member here for about a year and overall I really like this gym. The equipment, atmosphere, and staff have all been great, and I genuinely enjoy training here. However, the one major issue that really needs attention is the men’s changing room. There has been a consistently very strong foul smell for as long as I’ve been a member. I’m not sure whether it’s caused by sweat buildup, poor ventilation, damp, bacteria, or possible mould, but it’s become hard to ignore. What’s also concerning is that the ceiling ventilation units appear heavily clogged with visible dust and fluff buildup, and I honestly can’t tell whether the ventilation system is functioning properly or effectively at all. At this point, it feels less like a comfort issue and more like a hygiene and health & safety concern. I really hope management can properly inspect and clean the ventilation system, improve airflow, and thoroughly disinfect the changing room area. I’m leaving this review because I do like the gym and want to see it maintain a clean and healthy environment for members.

I’ve been attending Better Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre for the last 3 years, since I moved to the area. The only class I was attending was Power Pump class with Graciela. The class was fantastic, Graciela is incredible teacher and gives all her energy and knowledge. I loved this class with all my heart. I’ve seen big improvement in my appearance and I felt more energetic. Unfortunately, the management decided not to pay for the music license and instead to use AI generated music for whole Better gym chain. It’s absolutely impossible to enjoy the class with this music, it’s not aligned with the exercises and completely out of the bit. On top of that, I had bad headaches afterwards. Unfortunately, my favorite teacher left the gym because she couldn’t deliver her best with imposed AI generated music. It’s absolutely outrageous, I am very disappointed and heartbroken. I wouldn’t recommend this gym, as music is big part of gym experience. I am forced to cancel my membership.

Great experience at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre. The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and everything feels organised even during busy hours. The gym has a good range of equipment, and there’s plenty of space to train without feeling cramped. Staff are friendly and helpful, always around if you need assistance. The atmosphere is positive and motivating, whether you’re there for a quick workout or a full session. Overall, a reliable spot to train with good energy and solid facilities. Definitely a place I’d recommend and keep coming back to.

Great leisure centre with everything you need. The swimming pool is excellent, and if you go off-peak (around lunchtime or after 7pm) it’s not too crowded. The gym is well equipped, and the sauna is a decent size and properly hot. There’s also a steam room, and the experience showers have different settings like tropical rain. Russel deserves a special mention — I had a few questions early on and they were sorted quickly, and more importantly, he actually listened. He genuinely cares and puts his heart into the place. Overall, a well-run leisure centre with a good atmosphere.
