Frequently asked questions
- How much does a party cost?
- There is no published price list. Parties are quoted individually depending on the package, the size of the group and where you are, so you will be given a price when you enquire about your date.
- How many children can come?
- Parties normally run for 10 to 30 children, but groups of up to 100 can be catered for. Larger events are worth discussing in advance so the right setup can be brought along.
- What age are the parties for?
- Children from three upwards, typically up to about ten. The Magic Fun Party is built specifically for three and four-year-olds, while the Ultimate Magic Party with its optical illusions is aimed at the older end.
- How long does a party last and is there a break?
- Every party package runs for two hours. Experience has shown that halfway through is the right point for a short break for lunch or tea, after which the entertainment picks up again. One-hour shows run straight through without a break.
- Is food included?
- No. Food, drink and cake are down to you. The two-hour parties are built with a food break in the middle, so you can serve during the interval and the entertainment resumes afterwards.
- What's the difference between the packages?
- The Magic Fun Party is pitched at three and four-year-olds and leans on classic games. The Magic and Dance Party is the most popular, combining magic with a full disco. The Ultimate Magic Party adds staged optical illusions, a levitation and a Bose sound system for older children.
- Do the children get anything to take home?
- Every child gets a sweet treat at the end of the party, and prizes are handed out during the dancing competitions. Goody bags and other extras can be arranged separately.
- When does the entertainer arrive and what do you bring?
- No later than 20 minutes before the party starts, to set up all the equipment. Every entertainer brings a top-of-the-range music system and everything else needed for the party, so nothing needs to be hired in.
- How do I pay, and is a deposit needed?
- A deposit is not always required. Payment can be made by bank transfer or in cash on the day; cheques are not accepted. All entertainers carry the correct insurance to cover themselves and you at the party.
