Pool parties at the modern Morden Park leisure centre - an inflatable obstacle course for swimmers or a floats-and-toys main pool party, then studio time for food

About Morden Leisure Centre

Morden Leisure Centre is a modern Better-run pool in Morden Park, south-west London, with a straightforward pool-party offer: the Inflatable Pool Party puts a floating obstacle course in the water for confident swimmers aged eight and up, while the Main Pool Party gives dedicated pool access with floats, toys and music for mixed-age groups. Both are flat-priced for up to 25 participants, run an hour in the water with lifeguards provided, and finish with time in the studio where you bring your own party food - a simple, good-value formula. Swim rules are taken seriously: inflatable-party guests are swim-tested to 25 metres, and non-swimmers or under-8s stay in the shallow end supervised by a competent adult swimmer (no more than two children per adult). As a Better centre the venue pages are kept current, though party prices come from the centre rather than the public site - reconfirm when booking. Google reviews average 4.1 from over 1,100 visitors

Extremely disappointing experience. The facility often feels overcrowded, and the equipment is not always in the condition you would expect from a leisure centre. Cleanliness can be inconsistent, especially in the changing areas, and staff support has been unhelpful at times when issues were raised. The overall atmosphere feels poorly managed, with long waits, limited availability of certain facilities, and a lack of communication about disruptions. Considering the membership and entry costs, the value for money simply isn't there. There are definitely better options available in the area. I would not recommend it based on my experience.

I honestly struggle to find anything positive to say about this leisure centre. The only reason I am leaving one star is because there is no option to leave zero, and even one star feels undeserved. The centre has a tired, neglected feel to it, with poor upkeep and a noticeable lack of attention to detail. Cleanliness was a major concern, and certain areas had an unpleasant odour that made the experience uncomfortable. Equipment and facilities did not appear to be maintained to an acceptable standard, and the overall environment felt far from the professional facility that is advertised. What made matters worse was the lack of accountability when issues were raised. Rather than addressing concerns, staff seemed indifferent and uninterested in providing a satisfactory experience. As a paying customer, I expected far better. There are plenty of leisure centres that value their members and maintain high standards. Unfortunately, based on my experience, this is not one of them. I will not be returning and would not recommend it to others.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The only reason this review has one star is because that is the lowest rating available, and even that feels generous based on my experience. From poor customer service to a lack of professionalism, the overall standard was extremely disappointing. Concerns were not taken seriously, and there appeared to be little effort to resolve issues or provide a positive experience for customers. The facilities did not meet the expectations set by the centre, and the quality of service was far below what should be expected from a leisure facility. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. I sincerely hope management takes customer feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements, as the current standard is simply unacceptable.

Clean and well maintained facility. The parking is close by and reasonably priced. The swimming pools are clean and hygienic. The gym has excellent equipment and a great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Thanks Nasit onen

Poor management skills gym is good in fact great and the coffee shop is cool. As a customer I'm paying 50 pound a month for a effective routine. Managers are not at the gym it's 6:07 am In terms of effective management and looking for the customers best interest we should not be waiting outside the gym just because management are running late. As a business student and a intelligent one no matter what is going on you must ensure the customer is thrilled by your service. I think rather than be annoyed I would rather want to ask a intelligent question what is the solution to this will we expect more effective management skills and learn to operate so when the customer comes to the gym there is staff already there?
