2 Hour Magic Party Package
A complete two-hour party. Mikey arrives an hour beforehand to set up the backdrop, lighting rig, smoke and sound system, then performs a comedy magic show followed by a disco with games and balloon prizes. The birthday child is made the centre of one trick built specifically for them.
Frequently asked questions
- How much does the party cost?
- There is no published price. The two-hour package is quoted individually depending on your date, location and requirements, so you will be given a price when you enquire.
- How long is the party and when do you arrive?
- The party package runs for two hours. Mikey arrives a full hour before the start to set up, because the show involves a stage backdrop, a lighting rig, smoke and snow machines and a sound system rather than just a case of props.
- What happens during the show?
- It is comedy magic written for children: flying tables, vanishing flowers, multiplying red balls that turn into bananas, the Magic Bubbles of India and Rocky the Super Raccoon. It is fast, funny and full of mischief, and it is followed by a disco with games.
- Does the birthday child get involved?
- Yes. The birthday child is made to feel like the most important person in the room, and one trick in the show is built specifically around them so that all the credit lands with them.
- Do the children get anything to take home?
- Balloon prizes are part of the show. The party also includes a disco with thrilling games, which is where the prizes are handed out.
- Is food included?
- No. Food, drink and cake are not supplied and you would arrange the catering yourself. The booking covers the entertainment and the full show production.
- What do you need from the venue?
- Enough room for the stage backdrop and lighting rig, and a power supply. Mikey brings the backdrop, lights, lasers, smoke and snow machines and the sound system, so nothing needs to be hired in.
- Is he a member of the Magic Circle?
- His magic bubbles routine has won him considerable acclaim from the Magic Circle in London, and he has performed for a number of well-known clients and at high-profile events.
- How do I book?
- Send an enquiry with your date, the venue and the number and ages of the children, and you will get a quote and confirmation of availability.

This is the original Bristol climbing venue and I first took our children there 25 years ago when it was UCR. So heavy in nostalgia for us. We have climbed here ever since. We did our top rope and lead courses here. Recent addition of auto belays is fab. My only complaint is that it is cold there - really cold for me in the winter. It can be difficult to park but easier for us to get there than Redpoint. Having access to the Church and Mothership in Bristol and the Arc in Chippenham is really good.

Amazingly The Church was the second commercial indoor climbing centre in the UK in the 90s. It’s a characterful roped climbing gym with routes for all and is part of Bristol’s DNA. I first climbed here on a beginners session 20 years ago … the team offer taster sessions, kids birthday parties, corporate events, and climbing instruction from newbies to experienced. Lots of routes for top roping and leading. Climbing is a great sport for people of all abilities. And it helps develop resilience & confidence.

Beautiful gym setting with some really interesting climbs, especially lead routes. Routes were a great combination of challenging yet accessible. The gym staff were really friendly and great to chat with. Will definitely return if I'm back in the Bristol area!

Great place! My friends and I visited The Church yesterday as we wanted a change from our usual climbing gym. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and there were some great sport/lead routes on some really interesting and creatively designed walls which were great for pushing ourselves and boosting confidence on lead routes. Aside from being in a beautiful building, the centre had a very chilled out atmosphere which we enjoyed. We will definitely be back

Good choice of sport routes and some good top ropes. Make sure you have a belay partner because there aren't any auto belays. The staff are friendly and helpful and the setting is quirky and fun. Parking is free on the street and it's usually not too hard to find somewhere to put your car. All the climbs are graded so you know exactly where you stand before you even get on the wall. Thanks TCA!
