Staff in the shop are patient, friendly and helpful. I came here to try harnesses on and I never felt pressured into buying a harness that was the wrong fit (eventually found one that fitted perfectly at another outdoor shop).

We had my son's birthday here today and it was fantastic! Eight 13-yr old boys had such a great time. The coaching was so good - fun, professional and managed to cater to varying confidence levels in the group (most had hardly any had climbed before). All the boys came away saying what a great time they'd had. Huge thank you to Richard and the team for such a memorable afternoon.

Richard and the team welcomed my young boy as a climber of nine and nurtured his love of climbing all the way to 14 when he completed his under 18 assessment at the castle. The Geckos team are made up of young, passionate and fully trained instructors who inspire these young kids to be great climbers but most importantly they show them that climbing is fun and should continue to be fun as you grow older. Special shout out to Anton who has been a great role model for the gecko kids, warm, kind, knowledgeable with high expectations!
