About Crafty Chefs

Crafty Chefs gives me the opportunity to pass on the skills and knowledge which will help encourage children to learn about food and explore new flavours, in a fun and educational way whilst building confidence and encouraging independence. Over the years I have enhanced my cake baking and decorating skills which in turn, I can now offer fabulous personalised celebration cakes for your special occasions. I’m very much looking forward to building the company over the coming years as well as continuing the successful workshops and parties that we offer.

We theme the parties, so they can choose from Princess, Unicorn, Teddy Bears Picnic, French or a Classic Afternoon Tea Party. Then the children sit down to enjoy their creations at their very own Birthday Party.

My son really enjoyed cooking with Ailsa at Crafty Chefs. She was great — friendly, approachable (his words!) and made him feel comfortable from the start. He learned how to make a range of dishes he didn’t know before, and it’s been amazing to see his confidence grow in the kitchen. Learning to cook is such an important life skill, especially as a teenager, and this experience has really helped him become more independent. Thank you, Ailsa, for making it such a positive and enjoyable experience!

We had the Chocolate party with Ailsa & it was a great experience for my children aged 5 & 6, we made Chocolate pizza & decorated cupcakes. Lunch boxes provided for all children made by Ailsa & fun party games kept the children busy. Highly recommend

Ailsa and her daughter Hannah blew us away. We hired crafty chefs for my daughter’s 9th birthday, and it couldn’t have gone any better. Ailsa is organized, proactive, and professional. She arrived right when she said she would to help set up, was lovely and patient with the children, had lots of fun games planned in addition to the cooking activities, and went above and beyond to lend a hand when she really didn’t have to. We would recommend crafty chefs over and over again!

We booked Crafty Chefs for my daughters 10th birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. The chocolate making party was incredibly engaging, interactive and so much fun - all the children were completely absorbed and loved every minute! Ailsa is truly fantastic! A huge thank you for hosting my daughters 8th birthday party. It was very organised, engaging and the birthday cake she made for us was absolutely gorgeous and delicious too 😋. Ailsa took all the stress away and ran the party beautifully.
