Kids swimming lessons here are rubbish. Some lessons the kids don't even get in the pool, they sit them on the side in their swimming costumes and show them bits of paper. Complete waste of time and money. Don't the management realise parents have to rush home from work to get to these lessons, what is the point if they don't even get to see them swim. Surely all this safety stuff could just be done on a video they could watch at home? Update: 6 MONTHS (June 2026) later and nobody at Better has listened. Another wasted lesson with NO ACTUAL SWIMMING.

I’m extremely frustrated with the Better UK app and the website experience. Basic functionality isn’t working. When I try to book a swimming lesson for my children, the system doesn’t recognise my account. The same issue occurs on the website, so I’m completely unable to make a booking. This appears to be an ongoing problem, not a one-off. I understand that others have reported similar issues multiple times, yet it still hasn’t been resolved. I’ve made several attempts to fix it myself, but nothing works. Given the amount parents are paying for these activities, I would expect a reliable and functional booking system. At the very least, both the app and website should work properly. I will try calling tomorrow to book the lesson, although my previous experience wasn’t encouraging. The staff member I spoke to insisted I use the app, even after I explained the access and booking issues I was facing. I would appreciate this being looked into urgently, as it’s currently preventing me from accessing services I’m paying for.

Our local leisure centre and always a great time. Staff are helpful and friendly and facilities are welcoming, good and clean. Showers, lockers, changing cubicles, hair dryers and costume dryer all available. Aqua splash was great fun and not as easy as it looked to start with lol

They have change the music selection since March 2026 and this has totally ruined the experience. Instead of pleasing songs they are using not very good copycat versions of well known tracks with extra deafening bass notes so you can’t hear instructions. I would rather pay a few quid extra for proper music. One of our favourite classes by Yola has gone because she carefully choreographed routines to fit in with her music but couldn’t get them to work with the new regime. Very unhappy.

I met Tawa today at Pilates class, she was incredibly supportive as I wasn’t sure what I was doing. Tawa was welcoming and helpful. This was important to me because it massively helped me with my body circulation and I found this class to be relaxing. Definitely booking for next week.
