Frequently asked questions

How much is a party?
There are three packages priced per guest: Fantastic Fun at £21 per guest (£105 for the minimum five), Awesome Adventure at £28 per guest (£140 for five) and Ultimate Celebration at £37 per guest (£185 for five). Additional guests are charged at the same per-guest rate for the package you choose.
How many children do we need to have a party?
There is a five-guest minimum, including the birthday child. Each package covers five guests and can take up to ten more.
What happens at the party?
Each guest makes and stuffs their own furry friend, guided by a party host, and can personalise it with clothing and accessories. The party also includes hosted games and a special heart ceremony, and every guest takes their new furry friend home.
What age is it suitable for?
Parties are suitable for children aged 2 to 12. An adult must be present throughout, and a parent needs to stay with any child aged three or under; parents of older children do not all need to attend.
How long does the party last?
Parties usually last around an hour and can be tailored to suit your group and budget.
What is included in each package?
Every package includes the make-your-own furry friend with a clothing item, a party host, hosted games, the heart ceremony, party hats and name tags. Awesome Adventure also adds a drawstring backpack, and Ultimate Celebration adds a footwear item and a sound.
Is food included, and can we bring our own entertainment?
Food is not part of the package, and outside entertainment is not permitted, as the party is built around the bear-making experience and hosted games. You are welcome to choose a party theme to personalise the celebration.
How do we book?
Parties are booked in advance with a deposit to reserve your date, and the balance is paid on the day. Send an enquiry with your preferred date, the number of guests and the ages of the children to get started.

Really helpful, friendly and sweet staff working there. A lot better and less stress crowded then the hamneys one which is just a big queue. Would recommend

The store is located inside the Selfridges Oxford in the 4th floor and quite small but yo will get what you want. The kids love the concept of building their own bear .. highly recommend

My youngest had her first build a bear experience yesterday and I have to give special mention to Nimisha for making it just perfect. Nimisha engaged very well with both myself & my daughter, explaining all of the available extras and smiling throughout. My daughter came away very happy and content thanks to this lady!

I visited a toy shop after a long time and really liked how spacious and well-organised it was, with different brands, age groups, and types clearly separated — it felt quite professional. Unlike Hamleys or the LEGO shop, which are always crowded, noisy, and chaotic, this place was calm and relaxed, making shopping much more enjoyable. I found it especially interesting that there was a large Jellycat section inside. I used to buy most toys at Harrods, but after realising they charge 3–10% more than standard prices, I stopped going. Here at Selfridges, the prices seemed much closer to the usual high street ones. What I appreciated most, though, was how peaceful and cool the shop was — not busy at all. And with kids’ clothes and shoes right next door, it’s also convenient on hot or rainy days.

It is on 4th floor of selfridges which is the floor for kids & several small toy shops. You choose unstuffed bear and staff will fill it in. However you can choose your own sound and clothes to put in the bear. There are ready-made bears too. Staff is friendly. Bear in mind space is like a normal shop.
