About Showcase Cinema Bristol Avonmeads

Showcase Bristol Avonmeads is a 14-screen multiplex on the Avon Meads retail park at St Philips Causeway, and its Film Crew parties are a reliably easy way to do a cinema birthday. The group gets its own party room or area with music videos or cartoons playing, each child picks a Film Crew combo of popcorn, a drink and two snacks on arrival, and everyone heads into reserved seats for your choice of the latest films rated 12A and under. Two adults go free with every booking, complimentary Costa hot drink included. Parties run up to 6pm on weekdays and 4pm at weekends, for groups of six to fifteen children up to age fourteen - a format that suits school-friend groups particularly well. Bookings go through the national Showcase enquiry form, with the cinema team confirming details directly. It is a busy, well-reviewed multiplex (4.2 stars from around 2,000 Google reviews) with free parking, and party pricing is published nationally and kept current on the chain's site

My favourite cinema ever it’s incredibly special to me and I regularly go here almost once every month or 2. I love that I can watch remasters of older cult classics at this cinema or niche movies that aren’t released in other cinemas. I adore the retro look especially from the outside (please never change it!!) The sound / image quality is fantastic and the seats are very comfortable and reclining. Staff are friendly and the maintenance of the building is impeccable.

Beautiful cinema 🎥 comfortable seats that recline. Good snacks and drinks. £6.99 to watch a film bargain.

Arguably the best cinema in bristol, lots of free parking, tasty popcorn (which is hard to find these days), amazing value with the regular seats, very comfortable reclining seats in the luxe section, the XLR seats are also very comfortable (especially the leather ones in screen 13), toilets on the luxe side are nice but the ones on the regular side could do with an upgrade, some screens are offcentre such as screen 2 which can be annoying and strain your neck especially if you are on the far side, not too many adverts, screen quality and sound is great in both classic and luxe, neon signs and lighting outside is great and my favourite part of coming although its a shame it gets turned off quite early. Would be great to see an investment into a xplus screen to compete with the new odeons imax, isense and vues epic. Would be there more often if they offered a monthly subscription for unlimited films, similar to odeons mylimitless and cineworlds unlimited.

i used to love this cinema until i found out that they have began to house and entertain a homophobic organisation/church that was banned from swansea university due to “cult like activities.’’ concerns and complaints have been ignored and the organisation “courageous church”has been allied to continue, launching yesterday the 01/03/26. this is absolutely vile behaviour i cannot believe this has been allowed. as a film student i will be spreading this news to all my colleagues. absolutely disgusting behaviour.

I love this cinema. The 90s carpets and proper Neon light tubes are amazing. I hope they don't decide to modernise it and remove it's charm. The seats are also very good especially the leather lazy boys. It was great to recline and put your feet up. The cinema is well looked after and maintained. It felt very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. This is a great local asset. I'm Looking forward to my next visit.
