Frequently asked questions
- How does a Cook Stars party work?
- At least two Cook Stars leaders come to your home or chosen venue and run a hands-on two-hour party, bringing all the ingredients, equipment and aprons and handling the set-up and clean-up so you can join in the fun.
- What ages is it for?
- Parties work from around age two upwards and are adapted to the age and size of the group - the teddy bears' picnic theme, for example, is pitched at ages three to eight, while older children get more advanced bakes.
- What themes are there?
- Cookie decorating, high tea with finger sandwiches and scones, pizza and calzone making with ice-cream sundaes, a science party with edible erupting volcanoes, a no-bake cheesecake party, a Mexican fiesta with tacos and churros, and a teddy bears' picnic.
- Is there a non-cooking option?
- Yes - decorating-only options work well for younger guests or bigger groups, so every party can be matched to the children coming.
- How many children can come?
- Parties flex to your numbers and venue, and the teddy bears' picnic theme can cater for groups of up to forty children.
- Is food included?
- Yes - the party food is part of the package, along with cloths, plates, cups, napkins and cutlery, and the children also eat or take home what they cook. Bake-at-home party bags and a homemade birthday cake can be added as extras.
- How much does it cost?
- In-person party pricing is confirmed on enquiry once you share your date, venue and numbers. Online Zoom parties with a posted cookery kit start from £15 per child.
- How do we book?
- Send an enquiry with your date, location and group size and the local team will come back with options and a quote.

Helen and her assistant Harley were incredible. We hired Cook stars for my sons 9th birthday party. He picked the no bake cheesecake party and i can say without a shadow of a doubt, it was one of the best parties he's ever had. They had 8 boys to deal with, who are usually far from calm and they all had the best time. Helen and Harley guided them through and supported them throughout - without anyone needing to be told off. I am looking forward to using them again for my youngest son and also looking into their holiday workshops. Excellent party people. P.s the cheesecakes they made actually tasted really nice too.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 My son had an absolutely fantastic first session today at Cook Stars Bristol North! From the moment we arrived, Helen went above and beyond to make him feel welcome and at ease. Knowing he is autistic, she kindly invited us to come in 45 minutes early so she could give him some one-to-one time before the class started, and that thoughtful gesture made all the difference. She patiently showed him around, pointed out where everything was (including the toilets), answered all his many questions (and there were a lot 🤣), and made sure he was completely comfortable. Her kindness, warmth, and patience were incredible. The session itself was brilliant! They made a fruity crumble, which was absolutely delicious 😋 and my son was so proud of what he’d made. He’s already looking forward to the next session, and I couldn't be happier. I honestly can’t recommend this enough, especially for children who need a little extra support or reassurance. Thank you so much, Helen! You made our day 💛

We had a Little Cookies party for our 7-year-old daughter with Helen at Cook Stars North Bristol and I couldn't recommend it more highly. Everything was taken care of so that our daughter could have a wonderful day and us parents could enjoy being part of it. From the initial emails to organise the party through to the day itself, Helen was brilliant. She organised for balloons in my daughter's favourite colours, provided really good quality and fun ingredients for the Cookie decorating, kept the little ones entertained with fun games (the edible jewellery was a big hit), laid on a buffet that was a loved by the kids (macarons and great biscuit selection) and us adults appreciated too (plenty of health snacks) and even cleared up every single crumb at the end so when they left, the house was as clean (maybe cleaner) than when they arrived. Helen also provided really lovely party favours (make-at-home cookie bags), which went down really well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helen and her team to others.
