Pony parties at a working riding school in Pilning, north of Bristol - an hour of grooming, pony rides and mounted games with a rosette for every child

About Bristol Riding School

Bristol Riding School sits on Redham Lane at Pilning, just north of the city, and its pony party is a tidy hour of proper horsey fun for six to twelve children aged six to twelve: grooming and learning about the ponies, then rides with every child getting a turn mounted, and six mounted games to finish. Every guest takes home a rosette, with a special birthday rosette for the birthday child, and extra hire packages can be bolted on when you enquire. Riders complete a registration form before their first ride - printable ahead to save time on the day. It is a working riding school with solid reviews (4.5 stars from about 135 Google visitors) and a direct phone and email; party pricing is quoted on enquiry rather than published. One listing note: the current photo is the booking-system logo rather than a real image of the ponies - worth swapping before it goes live

The pony club was great and highly recommended! The instructors were nice and friendly. We came in a group of 8 children and all of the kids were happy. We definitely will visit again.

I’ve recently returned to riding after 20+ years After two lovely riding lessons with Rubie she encouraged me to try a hack and I’ve absolutely loved it . Carrie has supported me and given me confidence. Everyone at the yard has been friendly ,helpful and supportive Thank you ! Sue

My son attended for the Tiny Tots session, meeting the pony and having a little ride which is a fantastic idea, a gentle introduction to horse riding (at a fantastic price). The sessions leader was amazing with the children, really enthusisatic, very welcoming and friendly. Overall an amazing session, highly recommend.

Love BRS so much! I’ve been riding here for the last handful of years and have learnt so much. I had lost my confidence as a late teen but with the support the team my confidence is back in full. Carrie, Amanda and the rest of the team hold standards incredibly high with a particular focus on everyone’s wellbeing. It’s a welcoming and down to earth stables, which isn’t always easy to find! The horses and ponies are beautifully looked after. I take my step son here too, he loves it! It’s a shame there are some negative reviews as the team are incredibly approachable, well organised and professional. It’s important to note that a lot of hard work, rain or shine, goes into managing a stables and everyone’s safety for a hobby which can be dangerous. For this reason, it is imperative to be clear with clients on rules and expectations which need to be respected. Proud to be part of such a lovely place! ♥️

Honestly, one of The Best stable and place we have been around Bristol. Everyone was so kind and helpful, my son have had an amazing experience and time and can't wait to go again. So professional and funny people around. Horses are so well kept, no smell at all, everything is so clean. They also looked after amazingly my friend's little daughter who is only 2 years old. She also had an amazing time enjoying riding on the pony. Also the little helpers are so great. Lovely group of people! Instructor possibly Carrie (sorry if not) were so funny and encouraged all the children so well. 10***** Thank you so much for you all !!
