Hey guys! We had such a lovely time here. We booked it as a date day, it was super quiet, we had the place to ourselves most of the time. Kelsey was just amazing. She’s super kind, so gentle and genuinely caring with the animals, helpful, self aware and just lovely to speak to. She was telling us all the back stories of each animal which at times was very sad but also so lovely to know how loved they are now. Siena (hope I spelt it right) was also all of the above, her spider knowledge was amazing and we are so glad these guys were working on the day we came. There was a couple of other ladies who were busy elsewhere who were also super pleasant but we didn’t manage to speak to them. The place itself is small yet full of incredible species. The gent at the front desk is also stunning- such a friendly and understanding guy. This place is no BS, straight to the point and just all round 10/10. Lacoste is so cool too. Be sure to ask the history of all the animals. And if you take the kids, please don’t let them run around screaming and shouting - it’s not fair on the animals. Thanks for reading. Keep doing what you’re doing guys. We love you and we’ll be back soon. Thanks guys 👌

Visited for my birthday and was one of the best days ever. I did the Fun-Time Ferrets, Furtastic and Skunk Cuddle experience and every single second was brilliant. The animals like to be handled and interacted with, you can tell they are well loved and looked after and they all have their own names and little personalities that the staff can tell you about. Sarah was lovely, friendly and compassionate and made me feel comfortable with the ferrets. Rob was equally friendly and knowledgable with a great sense of humour and I really enjoyed chatting to Nathan who is incredibly clever and knows a lot about animals! I will definitely be back again and am so glad that there is such a wonderful place for exotic rescue pets. Such a brilliant cause to support and a lovely place to go for animal lovers.

What an amazing place! The work they do—taking in unwanted exotic pets and giving them a safe, happy life—is incredible. I love how they fund the rescue through hands-on experiences that not only allow people to get up close to the amazing animals but also educate visitors at the same time. The prices are very reasonable and absolutely worth it for the experience. The staff are all so friendly—special shout-out to Donna on reception for such a warm welcome. The team in the centre were equally lovely and very knowledgeable. It’s clear they genuinely adore the animals and are passionate about what they do. 10/10 – highly recommend! 🌟

Great experience! We did the one hour handling experience. There was a wide range of animals to hold or touch. Rob shared a lot of knowledge on each animal and staff took their time to carefully pass around each animal. There was a good amount of people to staff ratio so we were not waiting around for too long to see the animals. You also get to take your time looking around the zoo after which has an amazing variety of animals. Great for children and adults! Parking is limited so arrive earlier than your booked time.

We visited Get to Know the Animals for a birthday party and had an amazing time. My 4-year-old daughter is quite wary of animals, and I really wanted her to see how gentle and not scary they can be. She started the visit feeling nervous even around the bunny rabbits, but by the end of the party she had handled a rat, a bearded dragon, and even a snake; which felt like a huge achievement for her. It was so lovely to see her confidence grow during the session. Sienna, one of the party host, was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly informative, calm, and patient, and shared so many interesting facts in a way the children could really understand. She took the time to make my daughter (who is also called Sienna) feel comfortable and supported, and that made all the difference. We had such a positive experience and would highly recommend Get to Know the Animals, especially for children who may be nervous around animals. It was educational, fun, and genuinely confidence building.
