Sally's Roller Disco

Kids' birthday party venue in London

Mobile across London

A mobile roller disco brought to your hired hall - skates, safety kit, marshals, lights and music from a family-run skating academy running since 2012

About Sally's Roller Disco

Sally's Skates has been running roller discos and a skating academy since 2012, and its mobile party turns any suitable hired hall into a rink: skates and compulsory wrist guards for everyone, games kit, lights and music, trained staff or marshals, a 30-minute fitting with basic skill instruction to start, glow sticks, and a birthday card and small gift for the birthday child. Three formats cover the range - a big party for up to forty guests with four staff, a younger-children's per-skater package and a cheaper teen version for 13-plus (both min 10, max 20). You hire the hall for three hours (they'll check it suits skating), guests RSVP shoe sizes 48 hours ahead, and food is yours to arrange - though a roller-skate birthday cake or cupcakes can be added. Note hall hire is separate and ULEZ/fuel charges can apply by location. The Google base is small; the operation is long-established with published pricing

Sally and her team ran my daughters 7th birthday party in a sports hall that we had hired. There were about 28 six and seven year olds. I was slightly nervous as I'd found Sally through an Internet search rather than through recommendation. I needn't have worried as Sally and her team were very professional from start to finish and the kids had an amazing time. Most of the kids had never been on skates before but by the end of the two hours they had all progressed incredibly well. The kids had a lesson, some games and then a roller disco. There was lots of falling over but Sally and her team were on hand and the kids just got up and had another go. The parents also enjoyed watching their children trying something new, and a number commented on what an original idea it was for a party. The kids were all upset when the party finished! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sally and her team for birthday parties.

Unfortunately I have to say the party was disappointing: Lack of organisation, nothing set up, no jugs of water, poor table cloths (take your own) Freezing cold My 11 year old daughters party was run by a 11 year old, as Sally was engaged with another party DJ played a baby ‘happy birthday’ song which was embarrassing for my daughter / mates. The kids running my party didn’t even know who the birthday girl was!

We went to Sally's Roller Disco for the Sunday public session, we didn't book online, just paid at the door. It was Easter weekend and was a bit busy but all of us had a great fun. Everyone was friendly and supportive, one member of staff showed my daughter some cool moves and helped her with the advice. Great place for family activities, would highly recommend.

I'm a beginner when it comes to hair care, the ladies are always helpful and offer exceptional customer service. Always happy to recommend products but also give advice on how to use them.

If you haven't taken your child to Sally's disco, what are you doing with your life. Lovely experience every time we go. Everyone is supportive, skating along to good music and the kids have a ball. Really missed this over the summer. Best to book ahead!!

We booked Sally's Roller Disco recently for our daughters 9th birthday party and, despite initially feeling a bit apprehensive, I have nothing but good things to say. From the moment we arrived, Sally and her team were extremely welcoming and friendly and made sure all of the kids were looked after. Sally clearly explained the best way for the children to skate as safely as possible and also explained the best way to deal with the inevitable falls!! In little over an hour, Sally and her helper (whose name I can't remember.... sorry) had ten 8/9 year old girls skating on their own (as well as a 6 year old and 4 year old boy!!). She also made sure that the ones who were struggling more than the others were given additional guidance and tuition to ensure everyone felt comfortable. By the end of it, more than half of the group had the confidence to join the proper roller disco (the party was held in a sectioned off part of the hall) and were holding their own. My daughter absolutely loved it and we've had messages from her friends parents saying how much their child enjoyed themselves and that 'pair of roller skates' has made it onto their xmas lists. Oh... and Sally even gave my daughter a card and gift!!
