Birthday Party
An hour of coached gymnastics in the gym with two qualified coaches: a safety briefing, a group warm-up, then the children split into two groups to work through the apparatus, finishing with pass the parcel, gymnastics games or free gym time. Then fifteen minutes downstairs at tables the club sets out, for your own party food and cake, and fifteen minutes to clear up. The birthday child gets a small gift and a card.

- What happens at the party?
- The party is an hour of coached gymnastics in the gym, followed by fifteen minutes downstairs for food and cake, and fifteen minutes to tidy up before collection.
- Who runs the gymnastics session?
- Two qualified coaches run the session. It starts with a safety briefing and a group warm-up, then the children split into two groups to work through the apparatus. You choose between pass the parcel, gymnastics games or free gym time.
- What ages is it for?
- The club takes children from age four.
- Is food provided?
- No. You bring the party food, and preparing it and clearing it away is down to you, though the coaches will help where they can. Bring bin bags and take the rubbish with you.
- Is a cake provided?
- Bring one. There are candles on site and the club will do Happy Birthday, but the cake is taken home to be eaten rather than served at the party.
- What is provided at the venue?
- Tables and chairs are set out downstairs for the food, and the birthday child gets a small gift and a birthday card.
- Are the coaches qualified and checked?
- The club is affiliated to British Gymnastics and London Gymnastics, and the coaches are DBS checked and insured.
- Where is the party held?
- The party is at the North Finchley club on the High Road, in the same building as Artsdepot and the bus station.

My son goes to Perform Better Gymnastics and it’s been a really great experience for him. He always tells me how much he enjoys it whenever he goes, and he comes home happy and excited after every session. The coaches are supportive and make the sessions fun while still helping the kids improve. I’m really happy with the environment and would definitely recommend it to other parents

Daughter enjoyed the class, nice staff. But when we joined we were forced to purchase an umbrella. Yes you read that correctly, a branded umbrella. It was a compulsory purchase and we were not allowed to join if we didn't purchase it. Such a shame as we didn't need or want an umbrella.

Both of my daughters attend this gymnastics club, and we couldn’t be happier! 😍😍😍They absolutely love their classes and always run to training with big smiles and tons of excitement. The space is very well-equipped. The coaches are incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. A special thank you to Alisa, Cyril, and Marek — they’ve become true role models for our girls and a big source of motivation! It’s such a joy for us to watch their progress, growing confidence, enthusiasm, and tired but very happy faces after every session. We’re truly grateful for the positive atmosphere and amazing support — this is a place where children not only grow physically, but emotionally too. ❤️

My 7 year old daughter started classes in North Finchley only 9 months ago. She was recognised as being capable of trialling a higher group almost immediately and since then she has flown. Not only does she look forward to her classes every week, but the way she speaks about her coaches (particularly Alisa and Mercedes) is incredible. Her confidence has grown immensely and she loves being challenged to learn more skills each week. This is a safe and friendly environment where every child irrespective of ability can fly!
