Birthday Party
A 1.5-hour gymnastics party at the purpose-built gym with three British Gymnastics-qualified coaches. Children are supervised as they rotate around the beams, bars, floor and vault, with warm-up games to start. Every child gets a medal to keep and the birthday child gets a party gift. Price covers up to 15 children, plus a £25 medals pack and £15 per extra child (all payable on booking). A kitchen is available to bring out your own cake.

My 4 year old son attended a trial session recently. The following week, for two days in a row leading up, he told me he didn’t want to go back. I decided to take him anyway to give him one more opportunity to see if he would change his mind. When we arrived, he became upset because I wasn’t allowed to stay during the session (parents can only stay for the trial/when invited). I spoke to the coach, who advised me to slide out once he had settled. I reassured my son that he only had to attend if he truly wanted to. Once he was distracted, I explained the situation to the coach. I felt the response was quite pushy, which was uncomfortable especially considering the membership is expensive and non refundable. After we left, my son clearly said he did not want to return, particularly because parents are not allowed to stay. Later that week, we had received a message from the coach asking about payment for the term and suggesting that I had influenced him not to attend. The tone of the message felt unprofessional and, again, very pushy.

My Daughter attended a trial session at one of the Preschool classes and I was, and still am, so proud of the confidence this class gave her within the hour. It also has given me confidence in that I can safely guide her to do a forward roll at home without causing injury to her neck which has been a worry of mine. In just one hour I was very impressed with the variety of activities and new skills that were taught, and as my daughter is only 2, it was an ideal mix of free play and structured session. We will definitely be joining for the term, thank you team :)

Unfortunately, our experience with this gymnastics class was very disappointing. The management, particularly Ms. Sara who oversees the program, showed extremely poor behaviour. This was my 4-year-old son’s first time attending any sports class, and instead of creating a welcoming environment, she acted in an unprofessional and aggressive manner. She raised her voice at my son in front of the other children, which not only embarrassed him but might also negatively affect his motivation and confidence in the future. This is not the kind of behaviour one would expect from someone responsible for working with young children. I sincerely hope the management takes serious steps to improve staff behaviour and communication, especially around first-time students.

Having been a member of Hertford Gymnastics Academy since 2012, my daughter has grown up with the club. She's attended many of the holiday camps and always enjoys them immensely. The coaches are all incredibly supportive and hard-working and always ensure that the gymnasts are working at the right level. They made extra effort during lockdowns to keep the gymnasts entertained while maintaining their flexibility and strength. Now that the club has moved to its amazing new facility things can only get better. My daughter is really looking forward to training for when competitions start again.

My daughter joined Hertford after leaving another club and it was the best decision we could have made. The club is friendly, welcoming and understanding of individual needs. With the support of Sarah and a committed caring team of coaches I have watched her confidence go from strength to strength. After a challenging year the club has offered an amazing online package via zoom and providing a sense of normality. The new facilities are the cherry on top! Thanks HGA
