I did two improver lessons in the last couple of weeks. The first one was awesome-lovely supportive coaches and lots of opportunities to catch waves. My second lesson wasn’t as good-it was a big group and many were late so we kept waiting for them. We a consequence we only got in the water at 2.05pm and were told we had to leave the water by 2.50. Very strange-we did not get a full hour in the water as promised and as was the case in my previous lesson. It’s very expensive so you are expecting to get the full hour.

I haven't been here to surf so cannot comment on the actual wave other than saying it's pretty cool to watch. The platform to walk down the middle and watch is great. I have however been to the way many times with my two small children. The car park is a bit of a walk from the wave but this is actually what we normally comes for. It's a very long straight walkway that is absolutely perfect for the kids to take their scooters on. It's a nice walk with various mini climbing things for children and adults kids to play on along the way. The coffee/ restaurant/ shop area is a nice place to relax. My only complaint is although the coffee tastes good, for some reason it is always Luke warm. Please turn up the temp on your coffee machine!!!!! Outside there is a fun play area for kids with a decent treehouse thing with a slide which my kids love and also a sand pit and swings. You can walk all around wmthe wave which is always calm and quiet and there is a skatepark to the site. We enjoy coming here!

We haven't used the pool yet, but the facility itself made a very good impression on me. It's definitely worth a visit, even just for a stroll. There's also a fun playground on site and access to delicious coffee and ice cream.

Just completed the 2-day Improver Course at The Wave and can’t recommend it highly enough. A huge shout-out to Charlotte and Sam, who were fantastic coaches throughout the weekend. The structure was excellent, combining water sessions with dry-land coaching, theory and debriefs. I made so much progress, came away with clear things to work on, and feel far more confident in the water. Just totally hyped!

We recently hosted a corporate event for 80 clients and staff members and The Wave were superb! Nothing was too much trouble for Ellen, Archie and the team. I'd highly recommend The Wave as an events space for their beautiful venue, the team's excellent customer service, hospitality, communication, professionalism and just being great people :)

Really brilliant facility. Wish I’d gone before. Went as a bodyboarder. Hostility from fellow surfers fairly low. Been twice now. Advanced plus this time which was better than advanced for bodyboards. It’s such great fun. Food and coffee is good too!
